This cookery class will provide you with the knowledge and inspiration to cook delicious meals to introduce your baby to new textures and tastes. We’ll cover the transition from purée to solid food, focusing on recipes that are easy to prepare ahead of time and freeze.

Our nutritionist and chef will offer tips and information to help make mealtimes a fun and engaging experience for both you and your baby.

What you’ll learn:

  • How to prepare ahead and portion babies meals
  • How to prepare nutritious and tasty snacks for your baby
  • How to build confidence when introducing solid food

Makes: 8 ice lollies/2 portions of porridge/4 portions of cauliflower cheese/5 portions of bolognese

Duration: This class will last approximately 2 hours

Shopping List:

Fruit & Veg - Prepare ahead by washing fruit & vegetables, but no need to peel and chop

  • 8 strawberries
  • 1 banana
  • 1 kiwi
  • 100g raspberries
  • 100ml apple juice
  • 1/2 medium orange
  • 1/2 apple
  • 1 small pear
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 stick celery
  • 1 small carrot
  • 3 medium tomatoes
  • 185g cauliflower
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 10g parsley

Meat:

  • 130g minced beef

Dairy:

  • 200ml whole milk
  • 20g unsalted butter
  • 80g Cheddar cheese

Store Cupboard:

  • 50g small pastas like orzo, conchigliette or macaroni
  • 40g rolled oats
  • 20g plain flour
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp tomato purée
  • 150ml no salt chicken stock
  • 1tsp dried mixed herbs
