Join UK Ambassador for 1800 Tequila Oli Pergl to get the celebrations started with a guided tour of the brand and a lowdown on the history and craftsmanship of tequila. Oli will then teach you how to make his delicious version of the classic margarita.
Afterwards, cocktail brand MOTH’s Co-founder Rob Wallis and Chef Sally Abé will be chatting about tequila and cocktails live from their kitchens. You’ll be able to crack open some ice-cold MOTH Margaritas together, while Sally takes you through a live cookalong, explaining how to pair food with tequila. We’ll even share our favourite Friday night playlist with you, so you can continue the celebrations long after we finish.
About your instructors:
Tequila Educator Oli Pergl has travelled the country teaching about tequila through masterclasses and training sessions, as well as food-pairing and dinner events. His regular visits to Mexico, the home of tequila, equip him with plenty of interesting stories and insights.
Head Chef at the Michelin-starred Harwood Arms, Sally Abé has worked under some of the UK’s best chefs, including Brett Graham of The Ledbury and Phil Howard of Elystan Street.
Before co-founding MOTH, Rob Wallis worked as a bartender in the UK and in Switzerland, where he honed his techniques, creating classic and original cocktails in super chalets in the Alps
The first cocktail will be an 1800 Tommy’s Margarita

- 50ml 1800 Silver Tequila
- 25ml Fresh Lime Juice
- 15ml Light Agave Nectar
- Lime Wedge
The second cocktail will be a twist on the margarita, 1800 Blackberry & Sage Margarita
What you’ll need:
- Coupette Glass
- Cocktail Shaker
- Cubed Ice
- 50ml 1800 Silver Tequila
- 25ml Fresh Lemon Juice
- 3-5 Fresh Blackberries
- 2-3 Sage Leaves
- 15ml Agave Nectar
