Help your kids craft a cute, pumpkin-themed piece of wall art using some simple embroidery techniques and craft skills. With a little (virtual) help from The Make Arcade, together you’ll learn how to use some fun fabrics and embroidery threads to sew a spooky pumpkin face - perfect to decorate your wall ready for Halloween.
This workshop will demonstrate some basic embroidery stitches and how to use an embroidery hoop. A great make for using recycled or found fabrics, you can try out lots of different designs and sizes for an awesome autumn display that’s totally unique to you!
You will need:
- Embroidery hoop (any size)
- A piece of fabric bigger than the hoop
- Embroidery thread
- An embroidery needle
- Pencil or chalk
- Green/brown felt for the stalk
- Glue and scissors
