Often thought of as the Burgundy of Italy, Piedmont (or Piemonte) has an abundance of small wineries that put their heart and soul into producing exceptional single-variety wines.

Here, Nebbiolo is king of the grapes which gets used in a range of different styles, most notably Barolo.
